Martin Wielens becomes the new managing director of PORTICA
Kempen. PORTICA has a new managing director. Martin Wielens, previously Head of Sales, will take over from Bernd Kothes. In his new function, Martin Wielens intends to further strengthen the company’s great expertise as a fulfillment service provider.
Bernd Kothes was appointed managing director of PORTICA in early May 2008. In February 2009 he also took over the management of the IT subsidiary GEDAK. Due to the positive development of both companies and the associated increase in workload, the management of PORTICA and GEDAK will now be separated. While Bernd Kothes will concentrate on the management of GEDAK from April 2020, Martin Wielens will become managing director of PORTICA.
In this position, he wants to further expand the great competence that PORTICA has built up in the implementation of individual fulfillment solutions in the areas of e-commerce, marketing logistics and sales promotion. “PORTICA is excellently positioned and offers its customers very reliable full service support. I look forward to the additional responsibility and am grateful for the trust placed in me,” says the 50-year-old, who has broad know-how and extensive experience.
In charge of sales, customer service and professional services at PORTICA since October 2015, Martin Wielens knows the company, its customers and the market. Before joining PORTICA, he had already held responsible positions in marketing, sales and projectmanagement at well-known companies such as Geers, OBI and Procter & Gamble.
