PORTICA cooperates with Concardis on payment
(Kempen) The process service provider PORTICA has signed a cooperation agreement with the financial services provider Concardis.
The agreement covers the companies’ existing successful collaboration integrating payment solutions into the e-commerce platform PORTICA shop. Under this arrangement, PORTICA customers benefit from the advantages of highly automated payment management and credit control, including a straightforward interface with the online payment system paydirekt.
PORTICA has decided to collaborate on payment management with the acquirer Concardis, one of the leading payment services providers on the market. Online retailers need an acquirer if they want to receive payments by credit card. The acquirer serves as a type of financial institute processing credit card payments. “This cooperation with Concardis is a logical step for us, strategically speaking”, said Martin Wielens, Head of Sales at PORTICA, adding, “As an e-commerce partner, PORTICA offers a full service for its customers. With Concardis, we now have a strong partner in payment management by our side.” Part of what makes Concardis special is that as well as processing payments from established credit cards, the company offers a straightforward interface with paydirekt in its capacity as a retail concentrator.
paydirekt is an online payment system for German banks and savings institutes which allows online purchases to be made directly from the customer’s current account. As the system is subject to German data protection regulations, it represents a secure alternative to other solutions. “Thanks to our collaboration with Concardis, we can offer retailers using the PORTICA shop the option of using paydirekt in addition to credit card payments with Visa, Master and Maestro”, explained Norbert Haab, Senior Manager Professional Services at PORTICA. As part of the payment system, Concardis supplies all data required for a modern credit control process, allowing PORTICA (which also handles credit control for its customers in addition to the entire payment process) to also automate the relevant accounting processes to the greatest possible extent in order to complete them as efficiently as possible. The customer benefits from accounting data which is always correct and up to date.
The collaboration is already seeing success in its first shops, including the online web shop for the Hofbräuhaus brewery, which is programmed and technically supported by PORTICA. “Both integration and operation go flawlessly”, said Norbert Haab.
